Vintage cast iron urn on slate base

Vintage cast iron urn on slate base

A lovely small vintage cast iron urn mounted on a substantial, heavy square slate base.

The urn has a classic decorative form with fluted detailing and a wide, shaped rim, finished in a soft white paint. There are areas of rusting and wear to the finish, which give it a beautifully aged and weathered character.

Mounted on the dark slate base, the contrast makes this a really lovely decorative piece. It would look particularly good displayed on a sideboard, console, mantel or shelf, adding a little country-house character to an interior.

I have two available. Sold individually, so you can buy one or a pair depending on your space.
