Bishops Castle egg crate

A wonderful  mid-20th Century (circa 1950s) wooden egg transport crate, complete with its original black painted lettering for A. Evans & Son, Station Road, Bishop's Castle. Rich in character and history, the warm timber and authentic advertising make this a striking decorative piece.

Originally used for transporting eggs, it now lends itself beautifully to rustic storage, whether for blankets, logs, magazines, toys or as a unique display piece in a country-style kitchen, pantry or garden room.

The original typography and honest signs of use tell the story of its working life, making it a piece that's as decorative as it is practical.

Condition: Vintage condition with age-related wear, marks and patina consistent with years of use. Some signs of historical worm which has also been treated by myself too. Please study the photographs as they form part of the description.
