A really interesting antique horse bit, originally used as part of a horse's tack and traditionally associated with younger horses.

The bit has a wooden centre with iron fittings and large iron rings, giving it a lovely combination of natural wood and aged metal. It is a particularly unusual and characterful piece, with the signs of age and use that make antique equestrian pieces so appealing.

This would make a lovely decorative piece for an equestrian-inspired interior, country home, boot room or hallway, or simply as an interesting piece of antique horse tack to display and collect.

A wonderfully unusual object with plenty of history and character, and the sort of piece that makes a great talking point.

Please see the photographs carefully for the condition, including the natural signs of age and use.
